Facial cleansers or Bar soap?
Face washing for many is just a ritual of rubbing the face with a bar soap. If 
you are one among such people, it’s time to think over the matter. The question you‘re likely to ask, “If not soap, what else I should use to clean my face?” A good question indeed. Let me tell you in detail why your fragrant bar soap should not be used for face washing. Why a face cleanser is preferred to clean your face and what are the harmful ingredients present in a bar soap. I’m sure; the lines that follow will clear your doubts.
Skin, in general is not only the largest organ of the humans, but also acts as a shield to protect the other inner organs and as an effective eliminating organ. Most of the process of eliminating the toxins in the human body is done by the skin through its pores. It is imperative that the skin pores are to be kept open by all means. Any facial cleansing product be it a bar soap or a face cleanser should not clog the pores of the skin.
With the above knowledge in mind, you can now convince yourself why a facial cleanser is preferred over a bar soap.
A Bar soap has a high pH of that makes the skin’s acid coating alkaline. This in its turn causes irritation to the facial skin. Facial cleaners have low pH This will not disturb the acid coating on the face. Most of the soaps have ingredients like detergents, fragrance contributing chemicals and deodorants. From this it is evident that people with dry skin should not use Bar soap for cleaning the face.
Another factor one should bear in mind is that the facial skin is more sensitive than the skin on the other organs. That’s why a bar soap which is not strong enough to clean the dirt and oil accumulated on an oily skin is not at all suitable for face cleaning. A facial cleanser is formulated to deal effectively in maintaining the moisture of the facial skin. A Bar soap dries up the skin. Where as a facial cleaner too dries up the skin, but not to that extent as a Bar soap
In a nutshell, a face cleanser gently removes the bacteria, sweat and dirt and excess oil without irritating, damaging and disrupting the skin keeping the moisture in tact. Where as a bar soap inadequate to meet the demands of the skin. A Bar soap at the most may meet the demands of the skin, bit not certainly the demands if the facial skin. Washing or cleaning the face with a soap is like stabbing your skin with your own hands .
