Should Men Use a Facial Cleanser?
More and more men are becoming aware of using cleansers and moisturizers on the face. With the aging population and people working longer, we want to look are best and protect the skin from premature aging from all the toxic substances that we work in each day.
Regardless if we work outside or in an office, we are exposed to many different pollutants that are in the air. We are more aware of our appearance. The face is the first thing we notice. Its what makes the first impression, so it’s wise to take good care of it.
In many cases, men work in environments that the conditions tend to be much dirtier. Construction, factories, farming and so many more work related jobs that expose them to harsher conditions. Living in the city and being exposed to the pollutants of car exhaust and smoke stacks of buildings. Most men tend to just wash away the dirt of the day but that is not good enough and you need to use a cleanser to go deeper and get out the hidden impurities that we don’t see. Having a quick wash will not remove the embedded dirt and grime.
Men should start their day by cleansing the face before they set out. The face still needs to be cleansed, even if you feel you slept all night and wonder how could it possibly need it. There is still dust and pollutants that are in our homes, even when we sleep. Your skin will feel fresher and have fewer breakouts. Men might think that this will take to much time, but getting into a routine, will take no longer then splashing cold water on the face in the morning. In the long run, your face will be thanking you that you did this.
Before you retire for the evening, always cleanse the face again with a good quality cleanser. The substances and the exposures of all the chemicals of the day if left and not washed away will cause long term damage to the skin. It will cause the skin to lose vibrancy and freshness ending up looking dull and tired. It will look old before its time. It’s always better to prevent the damage before it starts. The damage that is being done to the skin is not always noticeable at first but the underlying damage that is occurring within the layer of skin. Always start and finish your day by using a facial cleanser. It’s the first step in a skin care regiment and most important. Using just a bar of soap on the face with dry your skin out and make it feel tight. Check out cleansers that are formulated for men. They are meant to work with the thicker skin that men have and will clean deeply to rid the skin of grime and dirt without drying out the skin. By cleansing your face with a face cleanser, it will actually improve the look, feel and texture of the face and you in the long run you will be glad that you did it.
