Who doesn’t want an ever glowing skin? Man or woman always long to have that youthful look. This obsession and passion to possess a youthful skin is as old as hills. In tune with the times and to face the challenges of quick changes skin care especially facial care has become a thing of vital importance. Accordingly cosmetic industry with its innovative and ground breaking discoveries made “skin care” an easy task. But the expenses involved are high. With a little thought and regularity most of these expenses can be minimized. At the same time we can achieve the same results as that of the branded cosmetics in the market.
Here is a method called “Home intensive care” which can be done in our homes easily saving lot of beauty salon expenses. The Home intensive care involves scrubbing and masking It has to be done once or twice in a week.
At the very outset, the face needs a thorough cleaning. The face should be free from the previous day’s make up. It may include foundation, loose powder, mascara, eye liner or Lipstick. In a nutshell absolutely nothing should be left over the face to prepare an effective base for the scrubbing and masking.
The next action is scrubbing. Scrubbing exfoliates the skin. That is removes the dead skin cells that are formed from time to time. If the removal of the dead skin cells is not done, the dead skin cells clog the pores. Clogged pores fail to eliminate the toxins in the form of perspiration. Hence it is implied that scrubbing which is the first and important action in “Home intensive care” must be done religiously.
For scrubbing, you can use a scrub cream or a gel. Use your fingers of both hands in a circular motion. Using both hands will save you the botheration of counting the number of times you scrubbed the right side and the left side of the face as whatever the right hand does, the left hand follows. The areas near the nose that is all sides and corners are to be scrubbed carefully. These are the areas exposed to the sun causing dullness of the skin. Rinse well with water and wipe off.
The next in the agenda is masking. Ascertain from the instruction leaflet that comes with the mask whether the mask can be used over the eyes or not. This is very important as some masks are too harsh when applied over the eyes. They may lead to puffiness and swelling around the eyes. Choose a mask that’s safe even when applied over the eyes. The usual retaining time of a mask on the face is 20 – 30 minutes. After the stipulated time clean off. After the removal of the mask, remember to use a toner and moisturizer to give a glow to the skin.
Remember, the key is regularity. Erase the idea from your mind that the beauty treatments can be done only in the beauty salons. In some cases it’s true. But some beauty treatments can be done in our homes. we can achieve the same results and own that glowing and youthful skin.
