Non-invasive body contouring – Coolsculpting

coolscultpting
. But then I heard of Coolsculpting.
Now there really is something that will get rid of those love handles -
Cryolipolysis – sounds like a deadly weapon, or something to fight dandruff as the old advert goes, but it is really means the decomposition of fat through extreme cold.
Coolsculpting – is the latest word in fat reduction and promises to reduce subcutaneous fat cells under carefully controlled conditions, leaving behind other tissue unaffected
Why is Coolsculpting different to other methods which we have all tried in the past ? For instance –
Liposuction – fat removal by suction
Liposculpture – targeted fat removal by suction to improve body shape
Lipodissolve – injections to melt fat away, a non-surgical alternative to liposuction
Lasers - using low level energy to open a pore in a fat cell thereby evacuating its contents.
This new technique, utilising cryolipolysis or coolsculpting to eliminate fat, is now available as a device used by physicians specialising in cosmetic procedures.
What makes the coolsculpting procedure different from other non-invasive methods for fat removal is its advanced cooling technology that selectively targets and eliminates fat cells gently and gradually while sparing all other tissue.
Fat Reduction in the right areas.
With the new coolscultping procedure, a specially designed coolsculpting applicator is applied to cool the desired area of fat reduction and leave the underlying tissue without damage
. The coolsculpting applicator cup uses a gentle vacuum pressure to draw the tissue between the cooling panels. During the coolsculpting procedure, the coolsculpting applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling conditions that have been proven to target and eliminate fat cells in specific areas of the body. When fat cells are exposed to precise cooling, they trigger a process of natural removal that gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer.
In coolscultping the fat cells in the treated area are gradually eliminated through the body’s normal metabolic processes, over the months following treatment.
The science behind the technology is not that astounding.
It was developed by the same researchers who discovered laser hair removal. CoolSculpting uses nothing else but precisely controlled cooling. Coolsculpting is a completely non-invasive, day treatment procedure and one coolsculpting treatment removes up to 25% of the fat in the treated area.
The initial work which went into the coolsculpting product concluded that prolonged, local tissue cooling can induce selective destruction and subsequent loss of subcutaneous fat, without damaging the overlying skin or causing meaningful changes to blood lipids or liver function. Research had already demonstrated that fat cells are naturally more vulnerable to the effects of cold than other surrounding tissue, and that fat cells can be safely eliminated without harming the skin. This is how cryolipolysis or coolscultping targets only fat cells for eradication and preserves other tissues such as skin, muscle, and nerves. This scientific discovery led to the development of the non-invasive technology now trademarked as coolscultping.
Coolsculpting treatment can be undertaken by a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist in their own clinic
The procedure usually takes up to three hours per session, with multiple sessions often required. The area to be treated is protected by a gel pad, applied to protect the skin. Then a specially designed coolsculpting cooling applicator is applied to area to be treated to cool the underlying fat tissue without damage to other tissues. The applicator cup uses a gentle vacuum pressure to draw the tissue between the cooling panels.
The coolsculpting process lasts a sufficient amount of time to damage the fat cells, the fat cells are exposed to precise cooling, which then triggers a process of natural removal that gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer over time. The result is a reduction in fat bulges that is obvious in most patients in two to three months after the coolsculpting procedure. The fat cells in the treated area are gradually eliminated through the body’s normal metabolic processes.
Coolsculpting is not for everybody or every body.
This is really more of a cosmetic benefit than a solution for those who want to lose a lot of weight, as only localised fat deposits are targeted. People wanting to lose a significant amount of weight need not apply. Neither it is a substitute for the liposuction where large volumes of fat are removed. The most suitable areas for this fat reducing technique are love handles, back rolls, muffin-tops and abdominal fat.
In coolscultping there are no needles, no anaesthetic, no surgical incisions, no pain medications and no downtime. Temporary side effects include redness, minor bruising, cramping, tingling or numbness in the area treated. During coolscultping treatment people can enjoy leisurely
pursuits like reading, listening to music, surfing the Internet whilst actually having the procedure, and can return to work or resume their normal routine the very same day.
Relax your day and chill, while coolsculpting chills your fat away.
